Q:  What is your cancellation policy?

A:  We have a 30 day cancellation policy.  If you cancel your reservation prior to 30 days before your scheduled arrival date, you will receive a full refund of your deposit less a 10% cancellation fee.  Payment is due in full 30 days before your arrival date.  There are no refunds after this date.  We have a partnership with CSA Travel Insurance to offer you protection for your vacation investment.


Q:  What is your hurricane policy?

A:  There are not refunds due to inclement weather including hurricanes.  We will only refund if there is a mandatory evacuation by the National Weather Service for Aransas County and only for the dates of the evacuation.  We offer travel insurance that not only protects you against hurricane losses at  your destination home, but also at your place of residence.  Please look over the CSA Travel Protection that we offer to see if it is right for you.


Q:  Why do I need travel protection insurance:

A:  This product removes the worry about the possible financial loss of your vacation investment if something unexpected occurs.  Our insurance policy will cover the following reasons that we have seen our guests forced to cancel for:

  • Sickness, injury, or death (even preexisting medical conditions are covered)
  • Hurricane (or other natural disaster) evacuations here or where you live as well as interruption of utilities, road service, or a call into active military service as a result of natural disaster.
  • Involuntary termination of employment or transfer of employment
  • Traffic accidents while en route to y our vacation
  • Coverage is provided for illness or injury while you are on your trip including emergency medical transportation

Q:  What is provided in the vacation homes?

A:   Here is a list of what is provided in most vacation homes:

  • Towels, linens, blankets, pillows
  • Pots, pans, dishes, silverware, glassware, etc.
  • Some  homes have a variety of spices, but we do not guarantee to have what you need
  • Coffee Maker
  • Hand soap and dish soap
  • Initial supply of trash bags
  • Initial supply of toilet paper
  • Cable TV and DVD player
  • Iron and ironing board
  • BBQ grill and patio furniture
Q:  What do I need to bring?

A:  Here is a list of suggested items to bring:

Q:  What is there to do in Port Aransas?

Q:  How does the ferry system to Port Aransas operate?

A:  The Port Aransas Ferry system is operated by the Texas Department of Transportation and provides FREE transportation 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.  The ferry connects Port Aransas with the mainland via Aransas Pass.  You can expect to wait in line for the ferry during peak hours especially during holidays and summer months.  A 24-hour radio message advisory (AM 530) provides information on ferry regulations and can be used for live broadcasts in case of emergencies.   A total overall length (for combined vehicles such as a car and boat) is 85 feet. The maximum width allowed is 96 inches. A maximum of 13 feet 6 inches in height is allowed.
Q:  What are the beaches in Port Aransas like?

A:  There are eighteen miles of uninterrupted public shoreline, open for street legal vehicles.  You must have a beach parking permit to park on the beach and these can be purchased at local stores and convience shops.  Beach activities include shelling, boogie boarding, surfing, kiting, sand castle sculpting, fishing, kite surfing, kayaking, jet skiing, camping in permited areas, sunbathing, or simply strolling. 

Q:  What is the fishing like in Port Aransas?

A:  Port Aransas is known as the "Fishing Capital of Texas" and it hosts over 20 fishing tournaments a year.  You can bring your own boat or take a guided fishing charter.  Enjoy bay fishing and off-shore fishing as well as fishing from several public fishing piers and jettys in the area.
Q:  What can we do after a day at the beach?
